Nevada CCW application wait time

Mine was mailed on day 90. Got is two weeks after 90 days. Probably slow mail system. I got my $2 I over payed with the first month, lol. Priorities I guess.

Received mine pretty quickly despite the ETA provided by the LVMPD fingerprint department. The web site says you can check on the status after 10 weeks and when I called 6/25 and checked they advised that it may take up to 120 days from file date which mine was 4/13/2012 and ironically I received mine on 6/25/12.

So in short, I waited 73 days.

I applied on May 2nd and today is 119 days and still nothing, washoe county wont take phone calls regarding permits.

What do I do if the permit is not here tomorrow?

Call and complain. They have 120 days. Mine was ready at 90 but no one called me. I found out by calling and asking questions.

I would go to the sheriff's office to find out what is taking so long.
In the mean time I would open carry everywhere. That's what i did when I moved here from texas since NV doesn't accept their CHL.
Just make sure you really pay attention to your surroundings when you do so.

I just got mine in the mail today. Applied on July 5th. 110 days. The messed up part is the issue date is July 5th, same day I put in the application. WTF?

Wow, you applied the day before me and are just getting it now? I've had mine for 2 months. Not trying to rub it in, just sayin'. Something is wrong in some of the counties.

NV non-Resident permit took 33 days from submission to post-marked letter

Nevada non-Resident permit took exactly 33 days from submission to Nye County Pahrump Substation to post-marked letter.

Nothing to add, just an update for people waiting, or considering.

Sounds like Nye Co. is the way to go. I don't know if a resident of Clark Co. can apply in Nye Co. though. If so it's worth the drive over the hump.

No, Clark County residents can't go to Nye County for a permit. Non-residents can choose which county to apply to, but Nevada residents have to apply in the county where they live.

I applied Nov 19, 2012...haven't received it yet.

There is one variable on the form that could account for the disparity in how quickly each of us receive our permit...that's how many past residences you list. In my case, I have lived at 10 different residences in three different states due to my job. So I am certain they have to check with each local PD or Sheriff's office on any potential background info. So if you are a lucky enough to live in the same house for the past 10 or more years, the check probably goes pretty quickly.

When I applied for mine here in Vegas, I was told that they are currently running around 10 weeks for processing, but they tell you on the Metro PD website that it can take up to 120 days so that you won't be calling them every week to check.

Has anyone gotten their ccw lately? And if so, when did you apply. I applied Feb 6th. Im not expecting it yet, but am curious to how long it is taking for people to get them here in clark county.

I hope 10 weeks is all it is. Ive heard rumors that its taking the full 120 days in some cases. Waiting sucks. I pretty much wore out my carry gun just getting familiar with it at the range lol
