Need help answering my neighbor question.

My neighbor wants a cwp and he was convicted of several misdemeanors including simple assualt and battery-10 years ago and harassment-12 years ago...both are misdemeanors would she be able to get a cwp? Thanks for the info.

that doesn't sound like the type of person I would encourage to get a handgun or a permit.

In Florida, you have to wait three years after fulfilling all terms of the court. You can forget it if you have any domestic violence on your record. Looks like South Carolina requires the details of all prior offenses. They probably operate in a similar manner as Florida.

I told her she needed to call sled and ask them...She told me she did and they didnt tell no but they also didnt tell yes either.

I certainly hope not. My two kids (aged 40 & 41) both live there. I don't want anyone like your neighbor carrying a gun near my grandkids.
