Need advice on which .22 auto

I bought the SR22 and gave it a good cleaning using alcohol and (keyboard) dust remover then lightly lubed. Fired 50 rds. of Rem. Thunderbolt ammo with no problems. Now if I can find some .22lr. Thanks to all for your opinions.

I love my Ruger SR22. Fun and comfortable to hold. If I HAD to pick something I didn't like, the only thing would be the safety. You flick it DOWN for safe, UP to fire. This isn't a big deal for me since my other gun is a Glock, but it would be bothersome to me if I had another gun with the opposite safety switching. Yes, when the safety is off it exposes a red indicator showing so. However, I would think it would be quite an issue to have "muscle memory" the opposite way (thinking up is safe) and jeopardizing your own safety.

medic911 well said, I have a Shield that I sometimes carry and I noticed the exact same thing you mentioned. I wish the Gun manufacturers would get together and keep the safeties as universal as possible.

You made the right choice! I love mine and have had zero issues with, it feeds and shoots every brand of standard or hi-velocity .22lr I have tried.

You can't go wrong with the Ruger MKIII or Ruger 22/45 MKIII. Especially the ones with a "bull" barrel and adjustable sights.
