So i thought i would clean the pistols i took to the range today one of them is a brand new KAHR CW40. I was cleaning the pistol and noticed the top slide apparently has been hitting the slide stop during firing. I was like damn this is a new gun and the first time i have ever fired it now there are chunks out of the top slide. I am so pissed. Will they replace the top slide or what?. I have got to send this back it is new and first time ever fired. Talk about angry. If they cant do better then this then i will not buy another gun from them. I bought the gun on 1/2/2013 and it was tested and fired on 1/19/2013 not good at all . Link Removed Link Removed

I'm not familiar with the gun, but is it possible you were riding the slide stop with your support hand thumb?
My guess is you would have felt that though.

The bad news is that you'll be without the pistol for awhile. The good news is that Kahr has excellent customer service. They will make it right.

The last thing they want is you bad mouthing their product on the internet or radio talk shows. They'll be happy to fix your problem, just give them a chance.

Best i could do on the pics. It is not just on the bottom it is also on the outside of slide. I am not a gunsmith but it looks like the slide pin is riding the slide i could be wrong but not sure what to do to fix it. Hand never touched the slide pin during firing.

I don't have the same opinion of Kahr customer service. It's due to their service that I will never buy a Kahr again..... ever.
