Navy SEALs ordered to remove 'don't tread on me' Navy Jack from uniforms | The Daily Caller

I found this article to be disturbing in a number of ways and felt the need to post for everyone to be aware of the continued treachery being perpetrated against our military forces by this administration.
~
The reasoning's of this insignia being similar in nature and content to the "tea party flag" alone tells me the current administration's hands are all over this, if left alone no one would have really noticed it.

The Navy Jack is the ‘don’t tread on me’ flag, one that has earned a revered place in America’s naval history and a beloved place in sailor’s hearts, through its use for over two centuries. This symbol of America’s naval ferocity has spanned our country’s entire existence, flying from the masts of the Continental Navy during the war of independence, to today’s War on Terror. In fact, an amendment to the Navy code called SECNAV Instruction 10520.6 clearly states that as of 31 May 2002 all ships are to fly the flag throughout the duration of the War on Terror.
~
So why would ranking SEAL commanders ban the historical symbol? Is the proverbial top bass banning the flag? Is President Obama?
~
Clearly the administration and sycophant “top brass” officers have degraded America’s military prestige; from hand-tying rules of engagement, to uniform regulations that make our military allegedly more compatible with foreign forces, to the banning of an awe-inspiring flag that traces its roots to the first U.S. Navy. We have a civilian-led military, but why should our ranking commanders be complicit in the administration’s war on it? Why don’t they stand up to Obama and his leftist cronies?

I'm guessing it's either obama or one of the "replacement admirals". At least I suppose all those generals and other high-ranking officers that have been relieved of command or reassigned are being replaced with something.

Unfortunately Command and Control will command and control. Most will comply, other will have Article 15's. I will start flying my Stars and Bars upside down. WE ARE UNDER DURESS..............Don't thread on Me!

Whether the coiled snake has a long history and whether it may have been previously authorized for wear on the uniform are irrelevant. The tea party and its supporters co-opted that symbol so successfully that its partisan political symbolism has displaced any historical significance. Politicization of military uniforms is unacceptable. The snake has to go and banning it was and is the right decision. Obama-haters who aren't operating on all cylinders will see all kinds of sinister things going on notwithstanding the foregoing realities. Never let the facts get in the way of mindless rhetoric.

First. The navy jack is NOT a coiled snake and it's history IS VERY relevant. Especially to those that serve in her ranks.
The tea party and its supporters co-opted that symbol so successfully that its partisan political symbolism has displaced any historical significance.
Using that same logic... If Al-Qaida began using the AMERICAN flag successfully as a symbol for their cause would we also force the US Army to remove that from their uniform? Not a chance.

Wrong again. The snake does NOT have to go because this story is not based in fact just like the US Marine Corps cover change story was false. Don't worry about investigating the facts before you start calling others mindless. Just follow the herd.

With the silent attack on our armed forces that the Obama administration is pushing, it's not surprising.

Did you press the wrong button on your 'puter'? Many have fought, many have died under that 'snake'. If you don't understand that, I suggest you go back to Huffpo. This commie-in-chief has no business getting in the way of Military traditions that have been in place, and proudly fought for by millions of AMERICANS. One thing he ain't.
Do I sound mad? You can bet your sweet butt I am. You should be ashamed of yourself and this post.

Appears that there is an "Anti liberty" person sending this out. Looks as the the Navy is actually seeking permission to wear the patch stateside instead of just on deployment.

I'd bet on the SEALs "complying" and finding an interesting way to still use it without technically violating any orders. It's what I would do. It won't go over well... not much more important in the Navy than tradition.

And yes, definitely appreciate the "Ignore" feature!

I think we all know where stupid orders like this originate. It's either directly from the Marxist in the Whitehouse or Obama sycophants in the chain of command. This administration has done more to damage and harass the military than any President U.S. history. He has seriously damaged the military and doesn't deserve their respect or loyalty; but he is dealing with men and woman who know the meaning of honor. Honor, honesty, and loyalty are three principles beyond the comprehension of our President.
