Finally after a year or so of lets say nurturing the seed I planted. She finally signed up and completed her CWP class here in NC. She has finally gotten serious about her own safety now. I can't always be with her to protect her when she's out. I applaud her and all you other women that take your personal safety to heart and arm yourself with the proper tools to defend against attack. Bravo-Zulu!

Good for you. Made my wife take hers when I got mine. It goes faster if you dont let them think they have an option in it :P

My wife an I took our ccw class together about five years ago. My daughter finally got around to it last weekend.

Congrats. My wife will also get her permit in NC this summer once school's out.

Congrats to your wife!
Now go get her to the range at least every month and enjoy your time together with the knowledge that you are both protected. I'm still working on having my wife get hers, but at least she's eager to do it.

Talked my wife into taking the class when I did. She does not carry all of the time but can and does when she feels the need.

We go to the range about every month. She shoots and was taught 3/5/7 yard line. For now just defensive shooting until she's fully comfortable. She shoots about a 5 inch dia to center mass on silhouette target. She even told me we really need more weapons for home defense. GOD, I really love this woman!

Bought my daughter a pistol that she picked out (Walther PK380) and some ammo and she's waiting on her permit now. Class is done, paperwork turned in, and it's awaiting approval and issue. She's actually more pro gun than many people I know who are gun owners.... Maybe she just doesn't trust the government?

Don't know if it's so much as I don't trust the Government as I don't trust a group of people that DO NOT support and DEFEND our Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic. Some of "those" people are in the Government.

Congrats to your wife and your accomplishment in nurturing her interest.
I am still working on my wife about getting her CHL, she hunts with me and has been around guns all her life, just never for protection while she was growing up. She has always question why I carry and what would happen if I didn't. Explained the fire extingisher she has in the kitchen but she still questions the need, I have way to go yet.
Enjoy your new found activity together. God Bless

Like a garden, plant the seed, tend to it occasionally. Don't hover over it's groth or lack there of. Give it time with some well place fertilizer and your labor will bare fruits. OK, easier said then done. It actually took about two years but she submits her app at the end of the month. The county in which we live in has an appointment system set up. NOT happy about the system but it's what's in place. ONLY law abiding citizens have to jump through these hoops. BG's don't.
