My Local Wal-Mart Has Given In to the Liberal Loonies!!

I went out today and wandered through the local Wal-mart and was told by one of the Sporting Goods clerks that I know that my local Wal-Mart is dropping the sale of all firearms and ammunition immediately as of today. No more firearms will be ordered for sales, nor will ammunition. When I told him that I guess that I will no longer be shopping in Wal-mart for anything, he said that he had heard that a lot today. He also said, "Oh, yes you will. Where else is there to shop in town?" That last statement is true since Wal-mart drove all of the local owned, Mom and Pop stores out of business when they opened up here. I told him that I didn't shop that much in Wal-Mart in town anyway, since my wife always wants to go to the neighboring / regional towns that offer a wider choice of shopping outlets anyway. As far as I'm now concerned, Wally-World will burn to the ground or fall in from an earthquake before I darken their doors again.
:nono:
I didn't ask if this was a company wide policy now, but one of my son's was told the same thing today at the Wal-Mart in a neighboring town that he works out of. I guess we are about to find out which U.S. retailers have any backbone and which are spineless jellyfish.

Don't believe everything you here. We have three here and all three have told me as far as they are concerned they are still selling guns and ammo just everything is on back order. I was also told by all three that they are still selling AR-15s by first come first serve basis. Just sharing some information.

midway is back ordering 4 cases of ammo i wanted to purchase too they said they couldn't fill it til MAY! wtf....???
i ordered two cases from lucky gunner who said it should ship today or tomorrow and they have it in stock
i think the bigger gov is buying up ammo manufacturing plants perhaps gun making corporations too

I would urge you to take your concerns to the store manager. When you speak to him make sure you let him know that you are not the only person that feels this way and let him know that you will be speaking to friends and others who support the 2nd Amendment about the poor decision that has been made by the upper management.

Well they may freeze all of it. But i can assure you it will not last. We are talking about a lot of money there they would lose in sales. Just sharing what i think.

You guys don't get it.........not even close.
.
This ain't about your 2nd.......it's simple capitalism.
.
What do you think a shipment of mil-surp ammo cost from overseas?...........$2M?............$4M??
How many importers have lost their asses on import ammo and kits??????? quite a few.
.
What do you think an ammo order is for Walmart nationally?...........$10M?..........yeah maybe.
.
You think Walmart will place a $10M ammo order (non refundable) only to not legally be able to receive it?
>
This is big business ............you guys sure think small.

And BTW-
.
You guys better not be burning up what you have..............it will be all you get for a while..........maybe a looooooooong while.

Well i have a months worth and have cut going to the range from three times a week to once a week. It has to do with money and it will always be about money. Stores are scared to order because they don't know what kinda laws will be enforced. Just recap it lol

No.
.
I'm dead serious..........you are going to need all you got.
.
And you'll need all you got to get more.
.
You guys don't see what's coming do you?

Doubt this will be a national thing, especially here in AZ. Luckily Arizona is very pro gun and I can honestly see this state following Wyoming's lead and drafting anti-unconstitutional laws. As far as Walmart goes, the ones around my house that sell guns/ammo seem pretty ok about that. They never give you a fuss about open carrying or looking into their wares like some other locations might.

I'm on hold at Walmart headquarters. I'll update with what they tell me, if I can get through.

edit/update:

I was told by the customer representative when I called call Wal Mart headquarters at 1-800-925-6278 that Wal-mart has no plans to stop selling ammunition. I didn't inquire about firearms.

She said she was glad I called to inquire and that my concern would be passed along to corporate management.
