I went out today and wandered through the local Wal-mart and was told by one of the Sporting Goods clerks that I know that my local Wal-Mart is dropping the sale of all firearms and ammunition immediately as of today. No more firearms will be ordered for sales, nor will ammunition. When I told him that I guess that I will no longer be shopping in Wal-mart for anything, he said that he had heard that a lot today. He also said, "Oh, yes you will. Where else is there to shop in town?" That last statement is true since Wal-mart drove all of the local owned, Mom and Pop stores out of business when they opened up here. I told him that I didn't shop that much in Wal-Mart in town anyway, since my wife always wants to go to the neighboring / regional towns that offer a wider choice of shopping outlets anyway. As far as I'm now concerned, Wally-World will burn to the ground or fall in from an earthquake before I darken their doors again.

I didn't ask if this was a company wide policy now, but one of my son's was told the same thing today at the Wal-Mart in a neighboring town that he works out of. I guess we are about to find out which U.S. retailers have any backbone and which are spineless jellyfish.Link Removed
