I’ve had a concealed carry permit for over 10 years and only once did I feel the need to pull my weapon, but I didn’t have to after all.
.
I was going to work one winter morning and was at a Get & Zip around 6am when I noticed a car (only other one in the lot) with three men standing beside it at the diesel pump and the car didn’t take diesel. I knew the girl inside and I asked her how long had they been there and she said about 10 minutes.
.
I asked the girl to call the Sheriff’s Dept. and ask if they would send a patrol car by. In the meantime, one of the guy’s came into the store and I guess to see if I was leaving, and as he walked by me, I accidently (on purpose) pulled my jacket away from my gun in its holster so it could be seen and needless to say, he walked really fast to his buddies and they proceeded to leave before the Sheriff’s car could get there.
.
I gave the Sheriff’s Deputy my statement and didn’t think much else about it, but a week later I was asked to come down to the Sheriff’s Dept. and see if I could ID two men who had robbed another fast food store that very same morning, a few minutes and a few miles further on.
.
I identified one, the one who came into the store while I was there and after everything was finished all three were charged and sent to prison for 5 years, each having a long criminal record behind them.
