I just bought a Glock 36 a couple weeks ago for a CCW. I have put the first 50 rounds through it at a local indoor range. No problems so far, yes I know 50 is only a start. Anyone have any tips on the 36? By the way, I'm not new to handguns just CC. Any tips on CC is appreciated.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the Glock. I have a Glock 23C and I love it. A friend of mine got a Glock 9mm for Christmas and we went to an indoor range and put some rounds through it. I thought it shot well. Did you get a gun cleaning kit by chance? You will want to clean your Glock after each trip to the range. Be safe!

welcome

Go through these forums and you will find, probably, more than you even wanted to know.

Good luck.

Good stuff Glock

Just shoot and have fun. Put plenty of rounds through it so you feel its dependable (which it will be) and get use to the small grip both double and single handed to. And yes the weak hand as well. You should have a blast.

Glocks are what I buy and trust my well being to.

I have the 34 and it is the most accurate handgun I have ever shot bar none. I have a revolver thats close. Only tip you need is nonslip tape (like on outdoor steps) on the grips so you won't drop it. And the only way I carry it is a shoulder harness. Enjoy it.

Thanks L.R. I'm not too worried about reliability. Just trying to get used to such a small .45 Been shooting a full frame S&W 5906 & 4506 for a long time. Pretty big difference there. Theres not much chance of concealing either of those.

I have the same gun and carry it all the time. I have 2 holsters that I really like. I have the shoulder rig from Dillon Leather by Mitch Rosen. The model holster is the G17R or 36121. The thumb over is a liltle tight at first but with some oil it stretches and closes perfect and fits the gun perfect. I also have a Blackhawk CQC Size 02 Glock 17/19 Holster that slides on the belt and has an extra magazine pouch forward of the holster...it's really simple, easily concealed and retains gun very well. Another accessory you may want to look at are the Pearce Plus +1 or plus 0 magazine extensions. For my concealed carry rig i use the Pearce PG-330's with just add an ergonomic grip. For the range I use the Pearce +1 grip which give you 7 rounds. I have like 6 mags total. Good luck and check out my blog at 2ndAmendmentright.org
Thanks, W

I just was given a 36 it was my dads. He just decided i needed it. I also have the 36121 holster from dillion. This is my first glock and i really like it. Shoots great and functions great, dad has put probably 2000 rounds through it so still pretty new. Cograts on yours.

You too Ellwood, thanks. I was kinda expecting a bunch of crap replies from from what I've been seeing here. Thanks to you all for proving that theres more good guys than bad, at least here.

So far i have found nothing that it would not cycle an shoot very well. Im 6'3" an 205 i have long fingers so its a bit to hold somtimes. I will be getting some different mags with some extinsions hopefully. I have a total of 4 45acps i just like the round. Ive been looking at the grip tape also there are several different types guess ill just half to try one.

Congrats. I've been a S&W 4006 carrier for the 20 years it has been out and just switched to a 36 myself. +Ps jump a little bit. Snappy little gun but I love it. Big difference from the 3rd generation Smith. Hope you will as well. Welcome to the forums.

Good weapon systems...Very reliable...My Glock likes ammo...Any ammo....And I do mean any!

Glad you have joined our world of folks that carry!

Several good holsters.
Inside the waistband look at clevelandsholsters.com
They are the same as some of the more expensive...I think the quality is better. I have a crossbreed and wanted some more cant adjustments...That is when I found the Clevelands...

Not much on shoulder rigs...

You could also look at the belly bands for your weapon.

Outside the waistband
Try a Blackhawk Serpa
Tagua (Check E-Bay)

I have Glock 27...Been thinking about picking up a 357 barrel for it..
I also carry a Para Warthog.

Look at n82tactical.com I use the pro. I have a 27 with the pinky extension, but they also make a slip over for longer mags, check rockyourglock.com or glockworld.com. i welcome you here & burn through some rounds (glocks rule)
