best brake on the market for a .30 cal rifle is the lil bastard. works great on bolt action long range guns. The downside is that the blast from brakes disturb the veg and camo that h you have in place for your hide. I prefer no brake on a .308 and that works for me with a very heavy bull barrel rifle.
.300 win mag on the other hand I want to tame the beast as much as possible...especially if shooting prone.
