I guess the question to ask is, do you inform an officer that you are carrying in Nevada.

not required. But they already know you have a CCW when they run your plate. However, letting them know up front is polite and I've always found it beneficial if stopped to just let them know. You don't want a nervous officer. Its courtesy, at least in Northern Nevada. MOst officers are very appreciative.
