Can I bring my shot guns and pistol with me or should I get my ccw first? I am from ct now and have a valid ccw permit here

Offhand, I'd say bring them with you. I don't believe NC requires a license to own, just to carry concealed. (Verify this...didn't look it up.)

NC will recognize your CCW. So take guns with you. Now while passing though some of the liberal states you might need to have them packed away very good, far away from you.

don't drive through or stop in NJ or NY. Too many threads here about getting busted in those states.
