Moving from SC to VA.

My house is being sold in SC and right now the plan is to move to VA but I haven't purchased anything yet or am unsure of my new residency in VA. Anyone familiar with moving and changing CWP licenses to another state?

VA has a Concealed Handgun Permit, and is a "Shall Issue" state. VA honors the SC resident and non resident permits.

it's easy in Virginia. We have open carry because we never passed a law forbidding it. Getting a CCW permit is easy. You need to take and pass a course if you aren't current or former military or law enforcement. I took an online $19.95 course in about 10 or 15 minutes. Took my application, course verification and $50 to the Clerk of the Court. It is required to be processed within 45 days or you can carry as if you have it. Mine came in the mail exactly 2 weeks after I applied.
