Moved from MA to RI, Question about owning/moving a pistol

Hello! I've recently just started thinking about my old LTC I acquired in MA to purchase my pistol (Walther PPS). I attained my license around march of 2018 and purchased the pistol not too long after. Anyways, my wife and I bought a home in Providence and I had looked into the state, moving legally bought guns was completely legal as long as it's within your home or moving it between there and the range. My only concern is, I don't know if they ever received my paperwork (MA authorities) on my LTC and moving to a new address. I'm just very concerned about the repruccussions, with moving I had put it all in, and if they didn't receive it it makes me nervous. The gun was legally paid for in MA, and I moved to RI while still holding a LTC.

Is there anything I should be concerned about? I'm actually not sleeping well because of this, I just want to make sure that I am legally in the right with my pistol.

Thank you for whomever reads, it means a lot.

If you are no longer a resident of MA your old LTC is worthless, it only applies to MA residents. Notification is required if you move within MA (to your PD's and licensing bureau), out of state it's moot. If guns are legally owned, the status of your old LTC in MA doesn't matter where you move to. It's only your new state's laws that matter. I would add having your old MA permit has some small value if you find yourself in obscure situations back in MA (so don't necessarily shred it) but it doesn't have any effect on the legal status of your guns in your new residential state of RI. I'd agree with the comment above. I shifted a year back and my previously owned LTC became pretty much useless. It's just sitting in my drawer now, catching dust. You just need to keep the new laws in mind when it comes to carrying or owning guns.
