Mounting a scope

Is it necessary to use some kind of thread lock on the rings? Blue locktite?

Some times it is a job best left to professionals. If you screw it up you may have a problem with the scopes sighting, to say nothing of possibly screwing up the rifle.

Is it necessary? No. I've never done it, and I've never had a problem with the screws loosening up. But it won't hurt anything if you're worried about it. The two important tricks to mounting a scope are making sure the reticle is level, and not tightening the screws too tight. Also don't buy crappy rings.
