Motorcycle Carry

I know its not riding season yet, but I'd like to start a conversation concerning conceal carry on a motorcycle. What have you done that works? I worry about the wind blowing my shirt around and providing glimpse's of brandishing a concealed handgun. What works best for you? IWB, shoulder under vest, or ankle?
Thanks and I've learned a lot from posters on this site.

I use the same set up as everyday carry. Currently using a Crossbreed SuperTuck. Hassle free for me.

MC Carry

I use a kydex IWB for my XD never had a problem with a T shirt on. Bareley prints and with my vest cant see it at all

I use a magnetic tank bag that I keep my weapon in while riding. I've found riding long distances with IWB or belt holster can either be bothersome for me or my wife. When we get off the bike, I quickly and discreetly, place the weapon back in my holster. It gives ease of access while on the bike and isn't uncomfortable while riding.

If you wear a riding suit like mine, quick access can be an issue. I've been considering a black Wilderness Safepacker hung on the half belt of my black and gray Kilimanjaro jacket. It will look like just one more pocket.

One hopes never to actually have to shoot while riding. But if such was even attempted, you'd pretty much have to use the left hand (unless you'd hooked up a "snowmobile throttle" for your left thumb).

Tank bag makes a lot of sense for comfort and accessibility, though I wouldn't want to transfer the gun from tank to person in front of witnesses. Guess it depends where you ride.

Can you give any scenario (realistically imaginative or real) when you would have to shoot and be moving at the same time?

I don't believe anyone should ever be shooting while riding, or while driving. If we are stopped/parked, it should not change the behavior of your draw and fire, so the firearm should be in your most appropriate location for your normal draw. If you are moving, it's usually best to just move in a different direction to get out of danger.

As far as the OP...I could never find a good way to conceal and keep it concealed while riding with leather gear. I open carry now. So I can't really help you there. Good luck finding a solution though, and repost what you found works for you in case someone else needs the same solution :)

I can carry my Kahr P9 IWB with no printing issues. I do find myself checking several times to make sure I am sitting on my shirt tail (I can "fit" into an XL t-shirt, but I wear a 2XL for this reason. My Ruger LCP IWB or in back pocket holster are even easier to hide, but I prefer 9mm and it works for me.

I ride a cruiser bike and the seating position has made it very uncomfortable for me to CC. I either put the gun in my windshield bag, or simply OC which is legal in Idaho. The problem with putting it in the windshield bag is that when I need to stop for a bathroom break or store break I have to retrieve the gun from the windshield bag which is usually in front of other people, and I just don't like doing that. As for OC, though it has not yet happened(so maybe I worry too much) bikes seem to draw attention to cops, and couple that with a gun on my side, I just don't want to be bothered with being pulled over. However, I now have the Ruger LCR which will fit in my pocket and the bit of grip that sticks out of pocket can be covered with my shirt.

I carry my PF-9 in a Nate 2Tactical IWB. Wear it all day no problem. Can't draw from it while riding but I hope I never have to. Was even wearing it on my last trip towards Sturgis. Made it as far as Nashville before some rain and an oil slick put me down. My weapon stayed at my side.

Ok I will never pull out a gun while riding. As was posted earlier I would change direction in a big hurry to avoid conflict or possibly wipe out my custom bike. That being said, is it legal to open carry on a motorcycle in Wisconsin or any state for that matter? I've read Wisconsin's law and FAQ's many times and have never read anything for or against open carrying on a bike. Open carry would be much easier but not sure if I'd be comfortable with the stare downs while cruzin the highway. Feedback Please, and as always thanks for your input.

It is always riding season here in southeast Alabama. I carry mine in a Crossbreed Supertuck. Same as if I'm not riding. Have never had an issues on the Harley or the sportbike.

If u live in a state that open carry is legal then if your weapon does happen to show then your ok.i live in ohio where open carry is allowed but the law states that once on a motorcycle the weapon is concealed even if it is visable so my permit covers me under some law enforcement officers opinion and the other ones the right to open carry covers me.
