Mossberg 500 Tactical

Just bought a Mossberg 500 Tactical 12 gauge shotgun from the owner of my company today, (pic included is not mine, but looks just like mine except i have the breaching barrel ) figured Id get something that may soon be illegal, or at least its accessories may be, not only for home defense, but for a SHTF scenario, when/if it happens. Never owned a shotgun before, but always wanted one. Pistol Ammo is gone in my area, cant be found anywhere, regular rifles are gone, pistols, ARs, AKs, you name it.....Gone. Shotguns are in short supply, nearly impossible to find, but the Ammo, seems to be everywhere. I can find slug, 00 buck, bird shot, you name it, theres a box somewhere. Spent over 200 on shells today, and surprising thing is, the shotgun only cost me 280.00. A new one, completely stock costs, in my area, around 450 to 600 dollars, depending on the brand.
I feel I have a good deal on this thing, and Im real excited about it, can maybe finish my Bug in/out bag. I posted my picture, would love to see your shotguns. Post em Link Removed

Awesome, that look nice I been looking at getting one myself and I know what you mean about ammo for the shotgun. I was at the Wal-Mart last night and they are out of all most everything but shotgun shell they have. I was at the cabelas looking at shotgun and they didn't have a good selection so I'm going to wait. I have found the Mossberg 500 at one or two LGS but I kind of wanted to get the Rem. 870 and it don't have to be not fancy but just something for HD. Congrats on your new Mossbreg 500 I think that it should serve you well.

Here is my 12g Hawk 982. Only thing I woud like to add is a breaching end, but the gun had a non removable choke. Besides that I love this thing. Link Removed

I'm building 4 more and will put them up on gunbroker. The one that I will keep is a retro Remington 870P with the Remington metal folding stock with carry handle, wood fore grip, 18" barrel with a bead sight. This will be the same configuration that LAPD and CHP motor officers carried on their bikes. :)

Im probably going to take the breecher barrel off to be honest, something I dont really think I need, but if its needed, I guess Ill have it lol

I going to get the Mossbreg 500 but at the time when my birthday and if I can find the 870 I might concided that one.
