Moron with shot himself!

Here is a story of a moron who shot himself while carrying illegally. This was reported in my home town. :sad:


28-year-old William O. Shelton of Fairfield was injured over the weekend when he apparently shot himself in the groin with a .22 pistol. Shelton told police he was fishing the Little Wabash River south of Golden Gate when he drew the gun out of his waistband and accidentally shot himself. The bullet entered his lower abdomen, passed through his scrotum and lodged in his upper thigh. Shelton faces charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a valid FOID Card and unlawful use of weapons. He was taken to Fairfield Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Unlawfully use of weapons. Seriously, they actually have a law that says it is against the law to accidentally shoot yourself? Also, charged for possession of a firearm without a valid FOID card! A felon isn't eligible to get a FOID card. So he was charged for not having a card that he cannot legally obtain. Talk about piling on charges. They could have added a few more, wreck less endangerment, shooting without a proper backstop....

I would really like to know what he did to get a felony conviction. Then I would like to know how long he was sentenced to and exactly how long he actually served of that sentence. Then charge everyone involved in his early release with accessory. The thing that sickens me the most about this story he people read a felon shot someone with a gun and how many people get upset that he had a gun. WHY IN THE HELL WAS HE NOT BEHIND BARS? Never do they just release people from traffic court over minor traffic violations because it gets too crowded but when it comes to felons letting them out of prison happens all the time.

I agree. For some reason, the libretards think incarceration is about rehabilitation. It isn't! It is about keeping them separated from us. The govt. has a responsibility to keep law abiding citizens safe by keeping criminals locked up and away from society. The French had it right with Devil's Island.

If it is in any way for rehabilitation then I think we need a stipulation that if you are sentenced and you do not have a high school education then you will in no way get out until after you have earned your GED. If you are sentenced to 6 month but it takes you 4 years the get the GED then you are will be locked up for 4 years. I don't think that is setting the bar too high.

Most folks that shoot someone with a gun are not convicted felons. That means most "law abiding" citizens are killing folks. Why not take away their guns while we are at it?

He pretty much did the vasectomy on his own! Give him a helmet holster and he'll probably finish the job!
