More incompetence from the TSA.

I used to work security pre-9/11, at a small airport. Looking at the objects in question...yeah, that's a really REALLY big screw-up. I'd have called 911, closed and evacuated the terminal and tarmac, and tried my best to detain the passenger if possible. (If not, I had his name/address/phone in the reservation system).

Looks like a typical case of "How many TSA agents does it take to change a lightbulb....."

And then the NY Post comes along and in typical tabloid fashion they decide to create a story where there is none. Strange that I couldn't find this important "story" on any of NYC's other major newspapers (The Times, Daily News, or Newsday). Slow news day?? Then create the news yourself! The NY Post is only slightly more credible than the Weekly World News or National Enquirer.

The idiot TSA supervisor should never have called the local cops. Obviously after closer examination nobody thought they were bombs.
