This has just came across the local news wires here:

Hazard, KY (WKYT/WYMT) - Two people have been killed in a shooting at Hazard Community & Technical College.
A third person was critically injured and has been transported to Hazard ARH.
Police say two suspects have come forward. It is not know at this time if they were directly associated with the shooting.

I tell you, if something is not done about these loonies going in and shooting up schools in this country, we are all going to loose the firearms that we have.

What I find so baffling is that when this happens, it's automatically the guns fault! But you can kill a person in a DUI car wreck or by pushing them off a subway station platform and then it's the offending persons fault, not the car or the subway train. I guess I'm just plain old country dense or stupid, but I can see no difference whatsoever - the victim is just as dead whether they are shot, killed by the DUI driver, or by the person who did the pushing on the subway platform.
Our society needs to grow some balls and get tough on eliminating the people who are causing these killings! I remember my Mother told me once that she saw a man hung on the local court house square when she was about five years old in 1927 and was in town with her Dad, and she never forgot that! It's time that a message is sent loud and clear about how these killers are going to be treated and the sentences they are going to face for their actions!
AND I AM WATCHING THE GAME!!! LOL! My daughter sent me a text message that she saw posted on Facebook about the shooting, and CNN just mentioned it at halftime.

It is now being reported (the morning after) that this was an incident of domestic violence that spilled onto the campus. The shooter apparently was following his victims and shot into their car when they pulled into a parking lot on the campus. Two adults were killed and a 17-year old female was taken to the local hospital, then airlifted to UK Med Center where she is listed in critical condition this morning. No students or employees of the college were harmed. The shooter, who had no connection to the college either, turned himself in to police shortly after the incident and has been charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.
Some lawyer will probably plead the shooter as insane and get him off if I had to guess.
And I just saw on the internet that there was a school shooting in St Louis yesterday as well. This country has" gone to hell in a handbasket" as my mother use to say!

The 12-year-old girl that was the third victim shot in this incident died this afternoon at UK Med Center. This was reported as being an incident of domestic violence that erupted at a child custody exchange in Hazard, KY last night. The shooter told police that "I just snapped and shot three people, I think". Sounds like a good start to a temporary insanity plea in court to me.
