Minnesota Concealed Carry Permit Question

My wife and I have concealed carry permits in Wisconsin. We travel to Minnesota for business and frequently have a large $$ amount of valuables and merchandise with us. We would like to apply for a Minnesota permit and the application says we can apply to "Any County Sheriff". The cost varies by County. Does anyone have info regarding the least expensive County to apply to?

Searched around a bit, Crow Wing county is the cheapest I saw: Link Removed

Honestly I'd go for the Utah permit though.
My friend just got it, says their renewal process is to send in an application by mail, and pay a tiny fee.
There are classes in WI that issue it, like this: Link Removed

It probably doesn't vary too much between counties. I would just call the sheriff's office in the counties you frequently travel thru. Any variance would most likely be offset by the gas money spent to travel to a county out of your way.

If I were you I would apply for an Utah CCL. The cost is $39 and it would give you WA, TX, MN, WV and DE. Go to handgunlaw.us and you can find what you need to do.
