Milwaukee FFL?

I think I'm gonna take the plunge and order a firearm from Buds. Problem is, I've never done this before.

I'm searched for FFLs online, and their prices are ALL OVER the map. Plus, I really have no idea what's involved.

Can anyone recommend a FFL, and give me a brief overview of the process? I believe that WI has a 48 hour waiting period also. When does that clock start ticking? (I don't need the handgun right away, I'm just curious.)

I'm in the Milwaukee area (technically Brookfield) so the closer, the better.

I'd make it simple and go to Gander Mountain, but their pricing can't touch Bud's...

Basically, ANY suggestion, advice, lecture, whatever will be appreciated.

I don't know of a FFL to recommend, sorry. But have you checked out the Gun Genie on www.galleryofguns.com - Buy guns online, top brands, best price, best service, best warranty; all types of guns: revolvers, rifles, pistols and shotguns. ? It takes away a lot of the leg work and you see the prices up front. Fletchers in Waukesha is one of their FFL delivery points. They don't have all brands of guns, but quite a few, and if it costs a couple bucks more, but saves you the legwork it might be worth it. Happy shopping.

Try Local Gun Dealers | LocalGunDealer.com. You can browse or search for dealers in your area. That would give you an idea on who to contact and get pricing for their transfer services.
