Military wife protects family from masked psycho armed w/machete and shotgun

Ionia County, MI. Her husband is deployed in Afghanistan. She heard a tapping on her door and was confronted by a screaming masked psycho armed with a machete and a shotgun demanding to be let in. She held him off with her own gun, but he refused to leave the property. Police eventually showed up and, after a brief chase, took him into custody.

He is 15.

It's January in Michigan.... the ski mask I could understand. Having a machete and a shot gun and not trying to break in but circumnavigating the house is just plain weird. Tapping on the door with the machete is just plain creepy.

The fact the mom didn't blow him to Kingdom Come, is just plain amazing. I respect her patience in not firing at a heavily armed person in the middle of the night creeping at her doorway.

Well.. I for one am, shocked, SHOCKED!.. With all those gun laws on the books HOW can this happen? I mean come on, its obvious we need more laws to prevent these criminals from using guns! /sarcasm

The mother of the boy says he wasn't trying to hurt anyone - he was trying to commit suicide by cop.
