MicoVault GuN Safe customer support

I bought a microvault gun safe for my home less than 1 month ago. I went to get my carry gun out and it wouldn't open. I called the company and they said they would replace it but it would take a minimum of 6 weeks! The guy on the phone barley spoke english and was extremly rude.

A lot of the small "quick access" safes have reputations for failing. This is obviously a very dangerous problem in case you are ever in need of "quick access" as is the intent of them.
Many find that day to day access through the key will leave the electronic lock in working condition so that you can use it only for real times of need, but it is really a risk to rely on it when you know they have failing issues and feel that you cannot regularly verify that it is working without fear of leading to it failing.

it comes with a key if the lock fails, but i keep it in a nightstand and it just fits. To use the key I have to remove the box from the drawer and then open it. Very unhappy and 6 weeks is unacceptable!

Had the same problem with mine. Finger pads quit working after rarely being used, isolated the problem to the circuit tape at the hinge, wires broke. Contacted customer support on several occassions. Still took over 6months to get the replacement after being told they were on back order for 4-6 weeks. I will never buy a product of theirs again.

Ours failed as well. The keypad works and you can hear the click but it's not tripping the locking mechanism so we have to use the key. It may wind up as a vault for the vehicle but I won't buy another.

Mine that failed was a Stack-On QAS-710 and after 2 months of contacting via email (as stated mail or email for warranty) I finally called them and the shipped me a replacement and had fedex pick my old one up the next day on their dime.

Had a problem with the microvault, bad cable from the factory. The end was not crimped on correctly, it just fell off.
After several attempts to contact customer (non) service I just gave up and fixed it myself. Oh well they got the last dime from me, what crap and crappy customer service.....

When you google "Gunvault problems" pages and pages come up and you can see that many people have the same issues mentioned in this thread. Why did you decide to buy an electronic handgun safe over one that uses a mechanical push-button lock that seems to be much more reliable?

I have 2 Gunvault Minis and they both work flawlessly for me. Haven't had a problem yet. I even beat the crap out of them early on to make sure they wouldn't fail.

I had issues with both a Microvault and the Gunvault 2000 Multivault. I called CS and they sent new ones in a week with return UPS labels. I am satisfied with the CS. The replacements have worked fine for 2 years.

Seems like their stuff is really hit or miss

You do see way too many complaints about the products however.
