Just to clear up any doubt, I asked Mike in the Comments Section of the above post on Sipsey Street Irregulars if he minded that I posted it in its entirety. This is his answer:
Unknown asks: "Do you have any objections to it being reprinted in its entirety on other forums/blogs?"
Certainly not! I would especially like to see this get distribution in CT on discussion boards frequented by CCDL members, etc. But by all means, spread it to the four winds as long as you include attribution and the link.

I really only frequent this gun forum anymore, so if anyone thinks it would be wanted/needed at any other forums/blogs you participate at, fire away and use the above permission found at this link if any Admins or Mods question you about it. Make sure to also use the link in the title of the piece to link back to Sipsey Street Irregulars blog.
It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer, to have in his or her possession or on his or her person or in any vehicle any firearm while participating in or attending any demonstration being held at a public place.
It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer as defined in subsection (a) of this section, to have in his or her possession or about his or her person or in any vehicle at a point within 1,000 feet of a demonstration at a public place
Maybe Mike should pay more attention to the state he lives in.
In NYS we don't have Nanny restrictions like this one from Alabama law:
It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer, to have in his or her possession or on his or her person or in any vehicle any firearm while participating in or attending any demonstration being held at a public place.
It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer as defined in subsection (a) of this section, to have in his or her possession or about his or her person or in any vehicle at a point within 1,000 feet of a demonstration at a public place
Mike can't attend a rally protesting NYS and CT law in his state with a firearm. Now that's ironic.
And Alabama is a "nanny state" because of that one passage in our firearms laws? Even you can't be serious about that. Tell ya what, next time you're tempted to talk about other states than NY being nanny states, go to Walmart or Gander Mountain or any local gun store (if they're still legal) and buy a standard capacity magazine for any double-stack model in 9mm of Glock, Smith & Wesson, Sig, Ruger, Taurus, Beretta, CZ or any other brand of handguns, or for any AR or AK variants. Or take a 10 round mag and load one in the pipe and 8 in the mag and walk up to any LEO to tell him you're carrying thusly, and then see how long it takes for that cop to be your freakin' nanny for the night.
Blues
What the hell goods is a firearm or magazine you can't carry? Next time you are at a demonstration about 2A rights in alabama, ask yourself - you rather have more than 10 in the clip in your car, or 10 on your hip?
Mike has time to worry about CT and NY but he and three friends can't gather to protest while armed in AL. Too funny.
This tells you everything you need to know regarding what nogods understands about firearms.

Gee, I go away for a little while and all hell breaks loose. "Mike, the upper echelons (of the CT state police) don't know whether to s h i t or go blind."
Back from dealing with the family situation. In the mean time, as you can read from the links below, all hell has broken loose in CT. I am informed by various sources:
"Don't come to Connecticut anytime soon, there's cops and politicians up here who want you dead."
"The fox in in the henhouse over at the Legislature. There's people who voted for that damn law who want personal protective details NOW. They also want you in jail."
From the CT state police: "Mike, the upper echelons don't know whether to **** or go blind. You really hit them with those last two letters. Much discussion -- some whispering and more than a little shouting. They realize that this is a PR nightmare and they don't know what to do about it. I heard (a supervisor) cussing Malloy and Lawlor and that (graphic expletive deleted) Vance. All of a sudden they're starting to realize that we are on the line to be shot at and not them. . . The higher ups (like Vance) can afford to be in denial. We can't."
Goodness gracious, no good deed goes unpunished. Here I try to help them out and they go and react poorly. I guess it's a good thing CCDL won't invite me to their shindig this year. Too many politicians who are embarrassed to be seen with me on the same stage, is what I hear. If they are all that concerned, why don't they introduce a bill to postpone enforcement until the US Supreme Court has a chance to rule. At the very least, they'll be forcing the tyrants to go on the record one more time. I guess that makes too much sense.
