~Memphis' Finest?~

“Anytime you communicate via a handheld or console microphone you want to remain professional. Our job is to make sure all officers follow procedures. In this instance it‘s possible he didn’t follow proper procedure,” Rudolph said.

Well Duuuhhhh, is there room for doubt? And is the "temporary suspension" for "possible improper radio procedure" or for having sex on duty in a taxpayer financed vehicle? Sounds like this Rudolph ought to get a suspension until he can fulfill his job of "making sure all officers follow procedures", so they can cover their sorry asses for their stupidity and dereliction to duty.

He should be TERMINATED, Plain and simple.
This dude is a disgrace to both the uniform & the badge i.m.h.o.
If he got caught this time, how many times did he get away with this disgusting behaviour??

I'll just bet that the 'woman' he was banging was either a drug addict or an underaged prostitute or both.
AND he probably has a wife and kids waiting at home for him.
He's a 'Pig' in quite the literal sense of the word.

Here's a link to the audio - it is not very long. Link Removed

That audio was created from the RadioReference.com archive of the Memphis Police and Shelby County broadcast.

RadioReference.com broadcast many police scanners across the US. Basically a local user hooks up his or her scanner to their computer using RadioReference free software to broadcast their local police scanner to RadioReference servers, which then make it available to everyone on the internet.

To get the archives you either have to join for $30/year or become a broadcaster. For $30/yr it provides some good entertainment. You can also listen in by a smartphone, which is useful when you are out and about and a half dozen squad cars go flying by you.

Sorry but I need to troll for a minute.

This is a firearms forum, and this subsection is about law enforcement officer encounters. The encounters are also presumed to be related to firearms in some way since that is what this forum is for.

Encounter: to come upon or meet with, especially unexpectedly.

This story has nothing to do about firearms, and unless any of you were in the squad car, this is not an encounter relevant in any way to this forum. It doesn't even involve anybody else' encounter that could be relevant to firearms and carrying discussions.

Stories like this do not belong on this firearms forum. Not unless there is a forum labeled "Anything regarding law enforcement from the news". If I want to read news about cops or other random events, I'll go to Fox News. I come here to discuss and read about firearms and things related to carrying them and using them.

No need to apologize.
You are entitled to your opinion.

I.m.h.o. the behaviour of these types of Rogue Law Enforcement Personnel is completely relevant.

These are the very same people who have the power to take away our freedoms and our concealed firearm permits.
These Rogue Officers need to have the spotlight of truth shone upon them for the entire world to see.

As citizens armed with concealed handgun licenses, we are expected to behave in an honorable way by law enforcement.
They should also be held to a higher standard, they are not 'above the laws' of decency.
(Rogue cops seem to think that they are above the law). They need to be 'outed' i.m.h.o.

As a former law enforcement officer myself, I firmly believe that knowledge of those bad apples who tarnish the profession is beneficial to each and every one of us. Hopefully by shining the spotlight on these types of 'Rogue Officers', we can weed them out and they will be terminated.

Would you want a scumbag like this working a beat in your neighborhood? I know that I wouldn't.

Many, many moons ago I dated a Pasco County (FLA) Sheriff’s Deputy she told me a story about a deputy that had sex w/ an academy ride along in his patrol car one night. Apparently they were so hot that when they climbed into the back seat they forgot the doors couldn’t be opened from the inside.

They were found naked, in the back seat, after failing to respond to several radio calls. My friend never did tell me what, if any, disciplinary action was taken
