Mayor Lobbies to CLOSE Remington Arms

I say Remington should move out of New York. They shouldnt be boosting the economy of a liberal state. Bring those jobs into a state that respects guns.
Heck, even the employees could follow suit and keep their employment.

Kentucky!!

Number one per capita purchaser of firearms
Very friendly 2nd Amendment legislature
No need for expensive dental plans

Do any of the trolls who post this garbage actually read the articles and followup comments? Or do you just mine the internet for the most outrageous articles you can find, then repost them here?

This article is from October 16, 2011. It is not current. In fact it was current for all of THREE DAYS. Mayor Peters resigned from MAIG on October 19.

I say move to Texas, Arizona, Utah or some other state where they respect the RTKBA and would be welcomed with open arms. The sad thing is, NYers probably aren't making a stink about this.

Did he resign from his job or the idea to close down Remington?

C'mon Phil, that was only six months ago and I, for one, had not seen it before. It was news to me about another state and I appreciate knowing things like that, regardless of how current it may be to you. Maybe that could be a warning of what may happen in my state some day and give us an idea of how others handled the situation. Also, Longslide is far from being a troll!

Remington has sent an open letter to the Gov. Cuomo, telling him that if microstamping becomes law, they will seriously reconsider their investment in NY. Central NY really cannot afford to loose the jobs. I also realise that the gov in no friend of gun owners or manufacturers. Maybe he will be moved by the revenue loss that Remington and their employees pay in taxes.

This is why I seldom even look at these forums. too many people just jump up and call others trolls. The only reason I can see is that it makes them feel better about themselves.

Sad condition to be in.

I'm sure the good folks or Little Falls can mount a recall petition and get that fat-head out of office. Failing that, well, let's just say that folks who lose their only source of income can become a mite testy, Mr. Mayor. You'll probably want to move out of town - and maybe resign anyway.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, this is the kind of thing that the AG's want---uninformed opposition so even though it's from last year I hadn't heard about this and thought it would good to post to show who else is inclined with MAIG and blooming idiot. Not everything needs to be or should be up to the minute news. How about Holder's brainwash speech in 1995? Did you know about that? I didn't and apparently many of congress didn't either and now some in congress are outraged. So old news can be good news. Got it bud?
