Saw this online and immediately thought that PERHAPS there is still hope for this country's future! Here is the link to the story. There is no way I could write anything more about this! I must admit it brought a tear to my eye! Guess that makes me a "girly" man!!! :cray:

Good one, thanks, yup, count me as a girly man. I think we have had more than enough of this anti-American flag junk. I just do not understand it. Maybe in the 1960's with the anti-war thing but now. The ruling last year of the flag banning in CaliForincation due to the Mexicans being upset was way too much and this year at the May 5th Mexican unholy day the same school where that began had a show of force with flags. It is time to stop this junk. Sorry but I put in my 2 cents. I shall pass this on via my Facebook page.

Too many anti flag people out there, but let something happen to them and they are the ones that complain the loudest. Me, I served and fly the flag every day in my front yard.

The school didn't complain, instead they reviewed their flag policy and made a change exempting our flag. What I usual see, is a lot of people complaining on all sides, and few people doing anything constructive to support their cause. You don't violate someone else's rights and stop them from being anti flag, you do what these kids do, and surround them with support for the flag.

Today, we have more reason to dislike our own country than the 1960's...blind patriotism is hurting us...I fly my flag everyday, but I do so in hopes all the stars will one day stand for what the stripes stood for...instead they are trapped inside their blue box and seem happy about it.

Don't give the school a pass. The flag policy was just an excuse to save their butts. I for one am getting real tired of being forced to change because one person might be offended. If the American flag offends you, don't look or find another country to live in.
 
What are you giving up? What have you been forced to stop doing? Did you give up and let them win ?

Save the school from what...doing the right thing? Should the school not have reviewed and changed their policy? The kids supporting each other was meaningless?

You know, the same could be said to defend those offending flag supporters. If you are offended by someone defiling their American flag don't look or find another country to live in....or do something constructive.

Just like these kids in that school prove, we have to stand up for America and it's flag. Hats off and salute to you young people. These are the kind of youth that need to be commended.
 
I see a trend here but won't mention it. Dam glad to see our next generation manning up (no offense Vern) and standing up for America and the Flag. There hope after all.

When looking back at history, it tends to be the youth of a society that brings about change...whether it's selfless or the old sending them off to fight... They get the job done.

Yep, sadly, our flag represents morals and values only of generations past. America is no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. The evident change in America today is the fact that what has always been known to be evil is now considered good. It's understandable why there won't be another generation. Enough is enough.

In the ever revolving human history...those morals and values may have been pushed aside for a few generations this last century...but as this article shows, we are coming full circle and the youth aren't going to put up with it...not when we have so much work to fix the many problems we inherited.

Sadly, this is far too little, and way too late.

Until the 535 corrupt bastards/bitches and crooks and the wanna be king are scared $h!tless by outraged citizens and run out of Washington, it's is all fruitless. Nor do I see any one stepping up that will change this circle jerk in Washington.
