Just heard about a mass shooting at a mall in Portland, Oregon. Fox News reports that two people are dead so far and the shooter had fired at least 30 to 40 rounds there, and is still on the loose. Will this crap never end?

I was in a mall in Washington just a couple hours North of Portland when my wife called to tell me about this story. I assure you my situational awareness was up for the rest of my shopping.
Funny thing I have never seen a sign for a gun free zone at our local malls (of course I don't look to closely) and I will continue to CC when I go.
7 years ago in Tacoma Mall around Thanksgiving there was a mass shooting too. I believe there was one in SouthCenter mall in WA a few years later when some gang bangers shot at each other In a food court.
Holidays and Malls = good time to carry

I do. Everywhere. Nobody will know unless it's necessary to use my gun in a case like this, and if that happens I don't think a jury will convict me of saving lives. I could be wrong, but I don't think so if my lawyer can get a jury's right of nullification mentioned in the courtroom.
Nope not at all. I've carried there, it is legal for permitted carry.

As of the news today.
Shooter was a 22 year old male. He did get at lease 60 rounds during the shooting spree. The gun did jam and officers were on the scene roughly about 2 minutes when the calls came into 911. I've been to this mall before and have Concealed Carry (CC). At lease 2 people are dead and 1 injured. The shooter did take his own life before officers were able to neutralized the threat. Thank god nobody else was hurt and I pray for those families that have lost someone during this tragedy.

Got Fox News on right now. I've heard "AR-15" about two dozen times in the past half hour and seen a picture of "a gun resembling" the AR. Gun was stolen from friend. Rifle jammed and he had problems clearing it otherwise more people would've died. Inability to clear a jam in an AR (or any other firearm) is more evidence that those trained in proper handling and use of firearms do not commit mass murder.
