These are some quick pictures I took this morning of my new Marlin Model 60, 50th Anniversary Edition .22. I'm pretty pleased with the stock. It's a nice looking .22 for the money. The Walnut looks so much richer than the Birch. They only made a total of 10,998 of these rifles in 2 production runs. The first run was Serial Numbers 000 to 999. Originally that was all they were going to produce. They got so many requests they made a second run with 4 digit Serial Numbers from 0000 to 9999. There will be no more produced with Black Walnut stocks.

When you consider that Marlin has produced over 11,000,000 (11 MILLION) of these rifles since 1960, that accounts for less than 1/10th of 1% of total production. I have been looking for an early model with a Walnut stock, but never had any luck finding a nice one. Those who have them in nice condition are not interested in selling them, and if you do find one they are willing to let go, it's usually pretty beat up and requires a major refinishing job.

I have a standard, Birch stocked Model 60 for over 20 years now, and it has never had a single malfunction in thousands of rounds. These rifles really perform well. Next on my list is one more, a Laminated stock Stainless Steel Model 60. What I found really amazing is if you take the entire 11,000,000 rifles produced in the last 50 years and divide it out, it comes to over 602 rifles produced and sold per day! That's 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, for 50 straight years! Quite an unbelievable feat for a single model .22 rifle. Bill T.

Congratulations on your Marlin Anniversary model!!!!

I've had my model 60 for going on 30 years now without a single malfunction. It's the most accurate .22 I've EVER had and wouldn't trade it for anything. When you find something that works you tend to hang on to it.

Same with my Marlin 25MN .22 mag bolt action. That thing seems able to neuter a fly at 50 ft!

Ok, that may be stretching it a little but them Marlins with micro-grooving are ACCURATE, all kidding aside.

Again, that's one fine looking rifle you have!
