SAN DIEGO – Move over vampires, goblins and haunted houses, this kind of Halloween terror aims to shake up even the toughest warriors: An untold number of so-called zombies are coming to a counterterrorism summit attended by hundreds of Marines, Navy special operations forces, soldiers, police, firefighters and others to prepare them for their worst nightmares.
"This is a very real exercise, this is not some type of big costume party," said Brad Barker, president of Halo Corp, a security firm hosting the Oct. 31 training demonstration during the summit at a 44-acre Paradise Point Resort island on a San Diego bay. "Everything that will be simulated at this event has already happened, it just hasn't happened all at once on the same night. But the training is very real, it just happens to be the bad guys we're having a little fun with."

It's crazy how much popular movie culture can influence everything, including our police, military, and even ammunition manufacturer's (Hornady)...

They may be calling them zombies, but I think that the ultra-reason for this is being disguised for something more sinister, like training to control various forms of riots, be it from people who riot because Romney wins the presidency or the normal everyday citizen who demonstrates against the government because of a 2A issue. Whatever they call it, you can’t believe what they say at face value, there’s always an underlying reason for it, if it has anything to do with the government.

Interesting. I think that human beings have always had the ability to make our fears and fantasies come true.
Be it some crazy sci-fi movie or whatever, we seem to manifest whatever we can dream up.
Are zombies real?
Not really. I mean, you have a few cannibals running around eating people here and there...but it's nothing to be concerned about.
Did you hear about that NYC cop that was planning on eating women? The FBI stopped him because the dude's wife saw his files on the computer.

I'm not a member of the tin foil hat crew, but it seems to me like it's riot training with a pretty suit. Whether it's zombie outfits or dressing them up as cattle, it sounds like the underlying goal is to prepare for "herds" of "things" (ie. people). Like we prepare for the "zombie apocalypse" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) as a way to be taken less seriously, I could see this also being the goal.

Or I could be totally wrong. We can always trust what our government says, they don't lie.

Thinking about a water purifier I saw there.

Well, it does make sense to prepare.
Herds of people with no food, no water, no sanitation, no medical care, etc will result masses of people followed by disease. rotting corpses, and masses of people willing to do anything for food, water or sanitation. In the past they were called refugees.

The Army did this similar thing in our area a several years ago, barely got comments from the news media then. Now it is actually alarming when you think about it. Just what does the pentagon and the Whitehouse have up their sleeves. I understand training but???????? I think of all the concerns I have and the worst (not that the afore mentioned by others in this post are not good points, they are) is an economic collapse. People being told that there life savings are GONE! Banks are broke, the government is broke, Those who are fortunate enough to have stashed some cash discover that the dollar is worthless. NO money for food, gas,clothing, anything at all. People will be stealing and killing just to survive. You can bet that the government has already prepared for this in the way of supplies and hahahahaha planning and now training. Then it will be US against the government. Absolute friggin mayhem!!!!!! to say the least. Police officers will be used to start off with to attempt to suppress the violence so the government isn't accused of shooting at it's own people, but local law enforcement will soon be overwhelmed and the military will step in. Change the scenario slightly and the government first dissolves the second amendment rights from the constitution and begins to take our guns and ammunition. Now they think they have disarmed all of the honest people of the United States, then they tell us we are broke and too fend for ourselves because there is nothing they can do but you have to now use kitchen utensils and maybe a long stick to fight off the thief or hunt for a meal along with 300 million Americans. How can that be right in any way shape or form. Leave us with some dignity Dammit. Yeh this might be a bit far fetched but one thing is certain, the government is going to take care of it's own, we the people are just pawns in what ever cause and plans they have for their future.
