Magic Ammo?

I tell you, ammunition is disappearing from the store shelves in my area faster than my in-laws after the groceries run out over a three-day holiday weekend! Most retailers are telling me that ammo is on backorder, and that it could be late-February to early-March before they get restocked. How's the ammo supply situation in your area(s)?

In Omaha, there is virtually no personal defense ammo in 9mm. Other sizes are limited. Regular ball ammo in 9mm is available in most places, but the shelves are getting more and more open.

Gun counters are always crowded at Cabela's, but less so at others. There still seems to be a pretty good stock of handguns but no ARs in anything except .22.

the big gun show in Vegas this weekend, arrive early, wait two hours in line to get in, find out they are already sold out!

Same here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area.... 9mm or any AR ammo or accessories are gone..
Also .45, 380, and 40 are very low quantities and gone in most places..
Same in Houston area..

the Walmart / Meijer stores near me both was either out of 9mm / 223-556 or had 1-2 boxes if that..
Also was low on 380s.. But the walmart had several boxes of 40 and 45, so did the meijers.. like 10-12?

I dont shoot those calibers but they had em..

Plenty of shotgun ammo tho.. cases of it..

The walmart nearest to me, last saturday had 6 boxes of 38special 1 box of 44mag 1 box of 32 and 1 box of 25, No 223, 45, 40, or 9mm. and none of the ammo they had were hollow point, all target loads.
plenty of shotgun ammo... time to stock up on that I guess.

I drove 70 miles round-trip yesterday to a neighboring town to get some .22 CCI Stinger, 9MM, 40 S&W, and 45 ACP ammo from a small discount department store. One of my son's wanted some 223 if they had any, which they didn't. Their supplies were dwindling down by the time I was finished getting what I wanted. A guy who owned his own store came in and bought some .22 and 9MM ammo to restock in his store - I bet it will be quite expensive by the time he marks it up to make any profit on it though. I also bet this panic buying is going to be good for the economy though! Way to go Mr. UTB (Unquilified To Be) President!!
