IMHO this is a great forum! I have found a lot of VERY good info on this forum. Many on this forum are very good about researching and finding out different things posted on this forum. Granted we do have the trolls who seem to ONLY want to cause trouble and to take an OP off topic. But we have many who are very good at flushing out troll

Over my short time, compared to others on this forum, on this forum. I have found who I trust and believe to put forth their opinions and thoughts and who I believe to have other motives. Such as to cause trouble, try to get a rise so they can say that gun owners/carriers are nuts and/or to just get their jollies off!

Overall, I have to rate the posters here an A+! When I have had a question I got very good info.

So to most of this forum I must give a high thumbs up! I am NOT kissing up to Luke here! I do mean this! So to all who are NOT trolls, a very BIG thumbs up!!!!

I wonder if the word Troll is anyone someone does not like? One guys friend is another mans Troll.

Howdy,

Yep.

Any time something is posted and someone disagrees with the post they are a troll, especially if the OP is about PURE KOOKY BULLSHITTE.

For example use the thread where it's COMFIRMED that ISIS is in Juarez, Mexico.

PLEEEEEEEAAAASSSSSEEEE !!!!!!!

Almost 2 months later nothing has happened and there still are members defending the OP and claiming that it's factual.

Look at all the threads about the FEMA camps, 1,000s of railcars at Secert bases to transport detainees, the 10 million body bags, etc., etc.

None have been proven to be factual but I'm a troll for not going along with the OP.

Absolute BS. You're seen as a troll by the people who see you as such for your entire history here with all the blather about 70 and 80 year old men living in their moms' basements, being tin-foil-hatters because they see signs of burgeoning tyranny that you apparently support, or are too blind to see, ridiculing and insulting people who have put their lives on the line in multiple tours of duty by calling them "gay" just because you disagree with their politics, you accuse people of crimes for activities that are 100% legal (just like one might expect an ex-cop to do) and on and on and on. You were viewed as a troll by many long before that thread ever appeared here.

I agree that this forum presents a worthwhile time for me to learn a great deal about all issues involving firearms and self defense. I understand that presenting this forum takes time, effort, and money. I do, however, find the " ad popups" to be "annoyingly intrusive" to the point that I do not wish to populate this forum as much as I have in the past. This particular thread gave me an opportunity to present my comments--I could not find another vehicle on the forum where I could comment.

Kel, do you use Firefox as your browser? I utilize their 'Ghostery' app that allows me to block nearly anything and everything that websites like to have, or would 'pop up' otherwise.

Bob makes a good suggestion, but misspelled it. It's called "Link Removed" and takes care of all the ads and pop-ups on this site. In fact, I didn't even know that there were pop-up ads here, that's how good it works.

Only works with Firefox, but if that's what you use, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the heads up on misspelling, Blues.

Trolls are easy. I have had stenchgun on my ignore list for a while now. If you ever want to know what they said you can click on it to view it, but chances are you can just look at the next post and someone that hasn't ignored him yet is calling him out on it.

Yes, this deer that pop's up and says 'visit Michigan for hunting season' has been driving me crazy lately.

As long as you guys are suggesting fixes for stuff, what bugs me most is I'll type a reply then when I try to post it, I guess I took too long typing and I've been logged out. Then when I log back in everything I typed is gone and I have to start over. Any fix for that ?

Make sure your browser allows cookies, and then check the box at the log in that says, "Remember Me." Log in normally after that and then close and reopen your browser to check that you're still logged in. As long as you don't have your browser set to clear cookies whenever you close it, you should remain logged in from then on, or at least until your browser updates, or you clear cookies manually etc.

Does the deer at least bounce across the screen?

Speaking of deer, even though Indianapolis is a big city, the park that's a 10 minute drive from my home has become overpopulated with deer (according to the powers that be they're eating too much of the foliage). So they're going to allow deer hunting in the park by 'wounded warriors' during the day and some special sharp shooters at night.
