sounds like a good experience but i'm in florida and still waiting to see if i can get my permit

When did you apply for license?

If it was when you first joined this forum, you should already have it! Did you mail it in?

On your copy of the application at the top is a bar code with a set of numbers, here is a link to call and find out the status
using those numbers. If there was a problem with your application, or they needed more info, you should have received a letter from them. Don't put this off, if you do, and they did send a letter that you didn't receive, and don't reply within 60 days of them sending it, your going to be out the $117.00.

Frequently Asked Questions - Division of Licensing, FDACS Go to: "How can I check on the status of my application?" and call that number. Good luck!

thanks single action ..i did in fact get a letter last saturday saying they needed some additional information. i sent the requested document to them yesterday via a fax from office depot so i'm waiting to see if they need any further info at this point.
a 30 year old arrest still says i resisted arrest without violence and battery is still on my record .....both were lies fabricated by a dishonest officer..but none the less had caused problems with employment off and on during my working life and hopefully will not continue to cause problems with my ccwp application.. i've spoke to others about this and was told not to worry they won't deny the permit based on two misdemeanors 30 years ago so at this point i just hope they are right and will be getting my permit within the next few months.. meanwhile it just gives me more time to brush up on my gun handling and tactical skills so by time i do get it i'm more than ready to effectively and efficiently protect myself from vicious thugs if need be.

Were you actually convicted of the 2 misdemeanor charges? If so, were they resolved? What they are probably looking for is certified court documents showing the outcome of these 2 convictions. This showed up on the FBI fingerprint background check as unresolved. Your not going to get your license unless you supplied to them a "Certificate of Disposition" certified by the court clerk where you were convicted, and you have only 60 days to get it back to them or you forfeit the $117.00! What did you fax to them? If you sent them the proper documents, then you should have your license in a few weeks, not a few months:yes2:

i got my permit stuff straightened out and my permit but still ny is way to far for me to attend but i do look for similar training in my own area thanks much
