Looking for stories and outcomes / SYG in MA

Here in Massachusetts there is no SYG law and it's a fact that if you shoot someone outside of your home, even if your life was in immediate danger, you are getting arrested. Well, I am sure it has to have happened somewhere in this state and was wondering if anybody could direct me to where I could read the story(s) of where he/she was taken to court and acquitted.

I'm not so sure that's a fact. But it's damn sure what those in power want us to believe. I think in addition to stories of acquittal, I'd like to hear some stories from people who had to shoot (or who used any other form of lethal force) in self-defense, and who were not charged.

And - please tell us the town in which the incident occurred.

It is a fact (but I'd love to be proved wrong).

Until I see some firsthand anecdotal evidence, statistics, or SOMETHING - it's a perception. Or at best a hypothesis. That's what bugs me. I've not heard ANYTHING since moving here (12 years ago) about anyone who used a gun in self-defense. The news here in Mass reports only on criminal uses of firearms, at least so far as I've seen.

I will concede only that it is possible, or mabye even likely, that you're correct. This does not make it a fact.

And anyone who knows the laws knows also that they can be interpreted pretty loosely and broadly, to the detriment of law-abiding gun owners. This doesn't mean it has been. But it does mean that it could be.

That's why it's important that we hear some firsthand reliable accounts, or maybe an attorney could quote us some relevant case law?
