Looking for opinions on Springfield XD9HC

Hey there,

I currently carry my old, huge, (did I mention old) Smith and Wesson 5904,and am looking for something smaller. I like the feel of the Springfield, and also like the back of grip safety. Anyone have anything good or bad to say about this specific gun?

Ive heard nothing but good things on these guns. I dont think you'd be disappointed. I've been looking at these but instead decided to go with getting a Glock instead.

I have the XD compact, my wife has the XD compact and sub-compact, all in 9mm. Hundreds of rounds through them. Perfect in every way. More comfortable grip than Glock and often go on sale for $399. That's a deal!

Don't own one but have rented one, in 9, very sweet gun! Easy to shoot, I rented a compact xdm and was amazed at how well it shot and recoil was nothing. Very nice gun.

I have and carry a XD 9SC. This gun is a dream to shoot, very accurate for being a 3" barrel. Muzzle flip is not bad either. Highly recommend!! Mine came with a 16 round extended mag and a 13 round mag.

Love my XD

I have a .45 XD with the thumb safety. Great gun, shoots well, and OK for concealed carry using a Galco holster.

Only mod to the gun is TruGlo sights to replace the factory ones - now it looks like I have three guys in Dayglo vests sitting on top of the slide

I have the XDsc in 9mm. Have fired a lot of ammo through it with no problems even some Russian ammo that my nephews gun refused to digest. Mine came with the XD gear and is bi-tone. Love the gun

I carry the xd sub-compact 40 and love it. Xd is a good line of guns

I have the following:
Springfield XD9 sub, XD 45 4", XDm 3.8 9mm

and ordered the XDS (on backorder) :lazy2:

I take turns carrying the XD's depending on what I wear.

what I like is the trigger is nice and crisp (better than a glock in MHO).
the safeties are well placed, grip and trigger safeties are very nice.
full ambi controls. It is lighe enough to carry it comfortably and heavy enough to control the recoil..(my wife loves her XD9).

You cannot go wrong with it...I recommend it to my students all the time.

and for all the Glock fans...I still like themm ok.

i carry the xd9 subcompact. it's a great little shooter adn disappears inside the waist band. it points very naturally and is quite accurate for having a 3" barrel.

My Xd40 sc has been a great gun, so great I am bored with it and trying to sell. They are ultra reliable, accurate, and easy to break down to clean. Fantastic pistols.

I have an XDm 9 compact. Like everyone else has said it is a very good gun to shoot, very reliable, will shoot just about any brand of ammo You use, and takedown is very easy. Can't say enough praises on this handgun.
