Looking for an AR-15

So I have decided that I should by an AR-15 for many reasons. The biggest is because for the entire time I've been in the Marine Corps I've handled the military M16A2 and A4 and the M4. So, why not?! I can operate that weapon system better than Feinstien can come up with BS about how she has studied the Constitution. So, if you can help please get back to me. I already own an M1 Garand and an M1A(M14) so help complete the USMC collection of badass rifles! Semper Fi and thank you!

1st. off I would like to thank you for your service to your country. I have a DPMS AR-15 along with 4 mags, iron sights, a laser bore sight, a single point sling & 266 rds. of ammo. I really don't want to sell it but I would like to move back to Iowa & this would go a long way for me once I get there. if you're interested I can post or send you pictures of it. I've only put about 300 rds. through it.

You can also check out slickguns, looks like AR's are slowly returning to inventory, as those who wanted to over pay have done so. Prices are not where they were, but are slowly getting closer.

Last time I checked, Impactguns had some in stock, too.

And also, thank you for your service.

Went to a grand opening of Academy Sports in Kannapolis, NC over the week end, they had 3 in stock, 1 was marked hold and 2 were for sale. Didn't catch the brand but did over hear the price $999.00.
Too bad I was broke......

For what you can get building your own, I'd go that route over store bought. With the ban being dropped and all hopefully stuff will start going back in stock as demand loosens up a little. Here's my baby, PSA stripped lower, PSA MOE lower build kit, and YHM full upper and I'm coming in right at $1,000.

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm stuck in the People's Social Republic of California so I have to get the mods for it. I gotta love the fact that the federal government trusted me with an M249 for two years but this state says doesn't matter. Thank you all for the comments.

That's a simple fix...find the thread with the rankings of gun-friendly states and find one to live in that's at least in the top 50%. Then you shouldn't have to worry about what you want to own.

Oh trust me if I can by the grace of God get orders to Texas, Ill never leave. I've talked my wife into it and she's a native SoCal girl. Haha.

AZ is a state away & we just landed the coveted #1 in Gun rights state! I Got a DPMS about 2 years ago before the onslaught of Democrat Bulls**t. Just secured a trade of one of my Guitars (My les Paul Studio) for a Custom .458 SOCOM Upper. Hard part is going to be finding and paying for the 3 dollar rounds....

This is the wrong website to talk about buying an AR15 in California. Tons of friendly people would try to help, but the pitfalls of living in a non American state like California are huge. Get help from Calguns to get it bought and legal and then let us know the details of what you had to go through and how it turned out.

One of my LGS had a bunch of quality A-15s on display, fro $1,200 to $1,500+ ready to be sold. But there were none for $750 to $800 price range of a year ago.

I think the libs should lose the "assault weapon" term that we all hate and just go ahead and call it what they really wanna call it...they're WMD's and we all know it! Hahaha

Have you checked out california forums about ar-15s? I googled one to link and suggest in a thread earlier... they're easy to find- and the members there seem to have alot of tips and resources of places/ways to get it california-fied. Good luck! (I just built my complete lower receiver last night.... thank the good Lord there were no bullet buttons on there :/ )

Calguns.net

They have all the info you need about bullet buttons, DROS, single shot exceptions, off list lowers and all the other crap you will need to know to keep out of prison.

Or buy a boat and live in international waters.. It might be easier.

Went to a gun show recently and there were THOUSANDS of AR's for sale of all brands and configurations. There were people bringing 2 or 3 or more in to sale as individuals. The prices ranged from just a little over what they should be to the point I wanted to ask them what the F they were thinking.

I even saw PALLETS full of ammo.... to bad I'm not rich and could buy it all...
