Looking for a new concealed carry holster for my S&W Sigma SW40VE. I have no idea what i am really looking for, after searching google i come up with all kinds of results and i don't know whats good and whats not.

Price is a bit of a concern so i can't afford something super expensive, but without a set budget in mind what would you guys recommend to me?

I was recommend a Kholster in the past, can i do any better than that for $50?

$69 is a stretch but if i can wait i would like to get a good one.

Are these really expensive belts necessary when using a good holster?

Many problems reported about a holster are actually related to the use of a lesser belt. I've used an Uncle Mike's Instructor belt for 2 years now without a problem, but a good stiff leather belt will do just fine.

ive heard 5.11 tactical makes a good belt and they are $15-$30 bucks. also its not the best for concealed carry , but they will work is a blackhawk serpa. i love mine, but it works better as a duty setup. awesome holster tho for the price. think i payed 35 for it. i also just ordered a crossbreed supertuck, but its not here yet.....

I just got a Kholster for my Sigma and already like it. Wore it today with my carpenters tool belt, no problems. I looked at the Supertuck and I think they're very similar in function. Kholster is cheaper and has the same warranty. (lifetime)

Check out donhume.com. They make very good holsters for a reasonable price. Good selection and they just may have exactly what you are looking for.

I still have some time left, i already took my CCDW class for Kentucky, i still have a long wait to receive my certificate in the mail and then pony up the $60 for the county and then wait another 3 months to receive my permit by mail.

Okay guys how about comparing the Crossbreed supertuck deluxe to the Kholster full moon?

Is the Crossbreed really worth the extra $30?

No , pretty much like the Crossbreed Supertuck just a little lower quality but backed for a lifetime by the owner. I say go for it if because that pistol will do you no good unless you are carrying it on you.

Well i am trying to sell a backup computer i don't use anymore and if it sells i should have no problem having the extra money for the Crossbreed supertuck, but i don't think i would want to spend more than that.

Anyone think i can do better than the Crossbreed for a little more money lol?

i agree with wolfhunter. I just ordered a Supertuck for my G23 from Crossbreedholsters after handling a Comp-tac MTAC and a Kholster. I was told by another holster hunter that they are like shoes . . . you have to really try them on to find out if it is the right one for you. I have heard alot of good reviews from Supertuck owners that their holsters are very comfortable.

Those who like the Kholster will say "No". Those who like the Crossbreed will say "Yes".

Very few have tried both.

I know Crossbreed has a two week free return trial period.

I was planning on trying the Crossbreed anyways after i saw that they were going to offer me 2 weeks to try it, i thought that was a pretty sweet deal.

I don't know for sure but just by going with what i read and my gut feeling that the Supertuck is a higher quality piece and thats what i am looking for as long as it fits good.

Don Hume JIT, I have three of them for three different guns, rides high and very comfortable.

Holster for a sigma? That means you are going to carry it? Well, if you want to.

I know a perfect place for a stigma. Anchor locker on your boat. IMO.

I think its funny how people dog on inexpensive guns. Its ate all the ammo i have put through it. I guess you would rather i carry nothing at all since i can't afford a sig.

Either way do any of you guys see a problem with the crossbreed holster with me being a large man. I am about 6'1 and weigh 260 pounds, so are these holsters meant for skinny guys or will it work for my fat ass?

Don't worry. He never has anything good to say about anything or anybody.
