Long or short action?

How can I tell which my Weatherby vanguard 300 mag has? I want to buy a new stock and I have to know to order it.

Dang and I was getting ready to give my opinion. leasantry: I knew that the 30-06 is long action and .308 is usually short but was unsure about the .300 so was looking it up. I had the same question a while back about the difference and am still unsure about some calibers. :wacko:

The Weatherby 300 mag is 1/2 inch longer than a 30/06 at 3 1/4" Thank you for the input. Gotta love the internet. leasantry:
