Hi All,
I'm a permit holder in TN and fairly familiar with laws pertaining to my personal sidearm and even to what is spelled out about long guns in your vehicle, but a friend asked me a question the other day and I wasn't quite sure of the answer. Specifically he wanted to know if he and his son are out fishing on a local river (on the bank or in a boat), can he have a long gun, let's say a .22 carbine in this case, with him to fend off any baddies that might wish him or the boy harm? We're working on making him a handgun owner and carrier, but until then, what are his options?
