A 17 year old breaks into a house, and finds himself faced with a woman who holds him at gunpoint until police can arrive. This is the first time I can recall this local news outlet reporting such a situation in positive terms, or a civilian firearms carrier receiving praise from a local police chief:

Of course, it is an article of faith with gun grabbers that such instances are incredibly rare, if not completely nonexistent fabrications concocted by firearms carriers, so it's nice to see the chief say that these cases AREN'T rare.
"But homeowner was in control of the situation.
“At this time, a homeowner was holding the suspect at gunpoint,” said [Kentwood Chief of Police Tom ] Hillen.
Police aren’t saying the type of gun the homeowner used.
It’s unclear whether the man being held by the homeowners was one of the two men seen minutes earlier walking the street.
And while the resident’s actions may make for good headlines, Hillen says it’s not as rare as one might think....
“While it’s always dangerous to confront a potential felon, especially when you consider they’re in your home, everybody responds or acts differently to an emerging situation,” Hillen said. “Apparently, this homeowner felt comfortable doing what they did.”
