Living in Chicago

I'm sure glad I DON'T live in Chicago, the news just said that gun related deaths are up 39% this year and 20 people died last week due to gun related actions. I used to live in Waukegan and we had just came from living in San Diego, CA for 11 years and during the first few weeks there the TV news talked about soooooo meny killings in Chicago, I was really taken back and afraid for my familys safety, that was in the 1980's and I can see NOTHING has changed a a bit.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel should impose the strictest gun control laws of this
country in Chicago and there by reduce the number of murders and...(Excuse me a
second, someone is trying to get my attention) What? You're kidding me?

Never mind.

Nationally, violent crimes are DOWN... again. This should be a wake up call for the anti establishment -- but it won't be. As those of us with common sense know, if you take the guns away from the law abiding citizen... only those who don't care about laws will have them.

Case and point... CHICAGO. I have lots of family that lives in Illinois, luckily they are in small towns far, far away from liberal-land. Hope they stay safe, and that Chicago reaps what it sows.

Rahm Emanuel in Chicago - Bloomberg in NYC - Both are not satisfied with having the most restrictive gun laws in the country, they have to export them to the rest of us with their anti gun groups.
Bloomberg with Mayors Against Your Guns and Rahm with Fast and Furious.
Both hinterlands in NY and Illinois suffer because of these two large Obama bastions in Blue States.
I flew over Chicago about a year ago. Looked like a lot of blight in this former great city.

PS. Ironically all those extra homicide victims will be voting democrat in elections to come.

Nothing will change until the gun laws are changed. Nothing will change until law abiding citizens are given the right to defend themselves.

I'm constantly studying the gun laws and municipal ordinances in Illinois and the various villages and it's mostly insane! I'm working with someone right now to build a Chicago legal ar15, and to be honest I wouldn't bother. I'm glad I live right across the street from the city of Chicago and don't have to play by Chicago rules.

Maybe the whole plan for Chicago and NY is to make the rest of the country as restrictive so that the criminals will feel less need to seek their "employment" in Chicago and NY...that's about the only thing that would make any logical sense.

I lived in Chicago for over 30 years and let me tell you the Gangs out number the police, Gangs have a wealth of money and guns. There are areas the police don't even want to go to which is sad.I grew up on the streets of Chicago but was smart not to get involved in with gangs. The violence is terrible people don't even leave there houses because they fear of being shot walking to the store or just going to a park. so many young kids have gotten shot just playing in front of there houses. Im so glad that i moved to Boise Idaho, i just want to be able to enjoy life and not have to look over my back every time i hear a shot or someone letting off a firecracker.I can go on and go on about what happens in Chicago and im glad that i can carry a concealed weapon which i do and it feels good.
