The absolute hypocrisiy of some people never ceases to amaze me. They will wrap themselves in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights and state that they have the right to do this or that with their property. But then they will turn around tell you that someone else does not have that same right because it doesn't suit them. And of course, they're more than happy to use the force of government to strip those others of their rights and to make them comply with their wishes.I have no issue with a person setting the rules for their home...I. However, have issue with a Mall owner stipulating you cannot bring your weapon onto the property...They should have no say in what I or you have in our vehicle.

The mall should have no say in what's in your car. Agreed. They should be the ultimate authority on what happens on their property.
The government should have no say in what is or is not banned on my property, or yours.
Either way, Sorry for including any personal opinion in the OP. It was cut and pasted from elsewhere. As I said, I was just looking for SC specific forums to get the info out there. Hopefully folks can spare a few minutes to email or call their reps to let them know what the think about pending bills. Thanks.
What are H3575 & S242, please?

I'm not in favor of allowing the government to strong arm property owners to allow or disallow activity on their property. Others are certainly free to feel differently. My hope is simply to make folks aware of all the gun bills going on in SC and get them to do something about them.
While I disagree with a property owners policy of no guns on his property, I don't want the government getting into the business of telling the property owner what he may or may not do.
Legislative update re: S 308
Senator PEELER moved that the Bill be made a Special Order.
The "ayes" and "nays" were demanded and taken, resulting as follows:
Ayes 26; Nays 15
AYES
Alexander Bennett Bright
Bryant Campsen Cleary
Corbin Courson Cromer
Davis Fair Gregory
Grooms Hayes Hembree
Leatherman Martin, Larry Martin, Shane
Massey O'Dell Peeler
Shealy Thurmond Turner
Verdin Young
Total--26
NAYS
Allen Coleman Ford
Jackson Johnson Lourie
Malloy McElveen McGill
Nicholson Reese Scott
Setzler Sheheen Williams
Total--15
Having failed to receive the necessary vote, the motion to make the Bill a Special Order failed.
No, but at least two from the nay list will need to switch to the yes list. I would advise everyone to call the entire nay list and request they support S 308. In particular, if one of them is your Senator, call and email them,
