State of Utah Concealed Carry Firearms Permit Training Program
This is a 4 hour training program required to obtain your State of Utah CFP license in over 30 states. Classes conducted in New Milford, CT by Mr. Furhman
NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course
Successful completion of this national course is a basic requirement prior to applying for a state handgun permit in Connecticut, New York and many other states. Students will learn about pistol parts and operation, ammunition, gun safety principals, shooting fundamentals and an overview of highlighted CT General Statute firearm laws. A national written examination and a live-fire range qualification is conducted at each program. A certificate is provided to each student upon successful completion.
CT Security Officer Guard Card Course:
This eight hour course is required to license security guards in Connecticut. Military and Veterans who qualify for educational training under the GI Bill will be reimbursed for this class.
CT Security Officer Armed Guard Blue Card Course:
This eight hour course is required to license security guards as armed security officers in Connecticut. Armed officers must also complete the Guard Card Class and have a CT pistol permit. Military and Veterans who qualify for educational training under the GI Bill will be reimbursed for this class.
CT Bail Enforcement Agent Course
This is a 20 hour course required to work as a bail enforcement agent or bondsman in Connecticut.
CT Bail Enforcement Firearms Qualification Class.
This is an 8 hour required course to carry a firearm while on duty as a CT Bail Enforcement Agent.
HR 218 LEOSA QUALIFICATION
This certification class will allow retired qualified law enforcement officers to carry a firearm anywhere in the US as required by law.
Personal Protection In The Home
This advanced eight-hour course is essential to the safe and efficient use of handguns for self-protection and family, and to provide information on the law-abiding individual’s right to self-defense from a home invasion or other violent attack.
Home Firearm Safety Course
This non-shooting beginners course teaches students the basic knowledge, skills, and explains the attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. The four-hour course for safe gun handling is conducted in the classroom only. This program is for all ages - from young mature teenagers through senior citizens - for those interested in learning about firearms or becoming reacquainted with the firearm they already have.

HF LearnSafety offers private, one-on-one instruction and coaching to help you learn new skills, or improve your current skills. You may use your own personal firearms or ours.
First Steps Rifle Safety Course
This course is designed to provide a hands-on introduction to the safe handling and proper orientation of rifles. Students will learn the NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; the particular rifle model parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; cleaning the rifle; and continued opportunities for skill development.
Certified by the CT Police Academy as a law enforcement instructor, the State of Utah and the National Rifle Association as a Handgun Instructor, Rifle Instructor and Range Safety Officer, Herb brings his experience from many years of service in the police and criminal justice fields. You'll get the best and most appropriate training through HF LearnSafety LLC.
Herb is a graduate of Boston University and was president of his class at the Connecticut Police Academy . He is a Connecticut Police Academy instructor for police officers and has taught correctional officers, counselors state officials and security guard officers. Herb not only teaches courses in firearms, but has taught medical and other safety courses on topics ranging from fire safety to suicide prevention to AIDS/HIV and CPR/first aid. He is a state certified firefighter, current president of the Gaylordsville Fire Department and supervisor for the American National Red Cross Disaster Services, and was deployed during the 2005 Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort, the 2007 San Diego Wildfires and the 2008 Hurricane Ike Relief Effort in Galveston, Texas.
Herb provides entertaining and thought provoking programs, looking at issues and concerns while expanding his students' insight into firearm safety. Many men, women and youth have taken his courses. HF LearnSafety LLC is committed to its students. Many come back for advice on appropriate gun and accessory selection, and on advanced shooting techniques.
