Lifting the Restrictions.

I have had my carry permit for 5 years. when I first received it, the judge in Onieda Co. places a stamp on it that indicates "hunting, target, camping, hiking" as the restrictions. Now I have to apply to the Judge through an application to attempt to get a license with no restrictions. It asks for a compelling reason for needing the unrestricted license. Any thoughts on reasons besides the obvious?

I live in western NY and all that we have to indicate is if we want it for concealed carry or target and hunting, but I do realize that in NY is county by county and if you have to indicate anything just say that it would be easier to transport, but dont say that it is your right , because in NY the onlyright you have is to continue to pay taxes

I live in New York also and go before a Judge next Monday to get unrestricted carry vs hunting, fishing, hiking etc. I know the obvious self defense reasons but I would like to have a lot more ammunition (pun deliberately intended) than just self defense. Any comments

I don't know what your situation is, but I used to own a business and worked where the customers went, conventions.

It was not uncommon for vendors to be carrying several hundred to a few thousand in cash at the end of the day. That would be my personal reason. I don't know if it would hold up for anyone else if they're not in that situation. Maybe some others will have something to put in here.

I tried to get the restrictions off mine and all they would offer is a hiking amendment so I took it. I've had mine for 16 years and still don't warrant much trust.
