Laserlyte & Tritium on Glock

I'm thinking about putting a Laserlyte rear sight and a tritium front sight on my Glock. Has anyone out there done that? If so what brand? Since the Laserlyte is designed to work with the Glock front sight anything that worked with a Glock rear sight should be fine. Thanks

I've never mixed sights from different manufactures on any of my guns. The slightest variance between the two can really throw your sight picture off, let alone the aiming tpoint if you are used to the weapons current sight profile and are instinctive in your point of aim / impact. Why do you want to mix them up?

I want to put a laser on the gun. I have decided on the Laserlyte after looking at my options. The Laserlyte is designed so that you can use the iron sights as a back up. I thought it would be useful to incorporate night sight capability. Okay, I thought it would be cool.

I would go with some Link Removed and then add a Link Removed if you still want a laser. But, that's just me!

Thanks Purple, CT makes a fine laser but this is not the way I want to go on this gun. I may abandon the front night sight idea but if I could pull it of it would be fun. I'm not too sure how effective a single night sight will be but it would be interesting to try.

Caribou...try the glow nail polish first. If it works, you found a cheap alternative. if it doesn't work, nail polish remover and/or paint thinner will remove it. If you still want to be the cool-ish man in town, go right ahead and buy the tritium. Just a thought...

Caribou...I've used Siteglo on several of my guns and it work really well. I used some very small model detail brushes and then once dried put a drop of clear lacquer on top of the Siteglo.

Caribou, it will be no different than putting a trijicon front sight on with a standard rear block sight, so as long as you are not used to a 3 dot system and are still comfortable with the block style rear it will not be much of a difference. But just for the record if you don't put a laser on it the glowing night sights work better in low light situations than the fiber optic sights.

The Siteglo looks promising. That would give me the ability to improve the rear sight as well. I really like lasers but I will never fully trust batteries. Thanks, I'll give that a try.

caribou; look into the metoprolite fiber optic glow in the dark sights, i installed a set on my kimber ultra carry. what a world of difference. very bright in the day, & full glow in the dark capability at night. i will be installing some in my crimson carry kimpro come next month to help with the laser, imho. peace through strength, ;arry
