LaPierre says armed school officers are only quick way to make schools safe

Gun Free Zones create a false security, one that only the honest and law abiding citizen respect. The BG's see this as easy targets. Protect our children and arm the damn schools.

All the Gun-Free School Zones Act of 1990 did was create 'killling fields' in our schools.
.
Of course, Zero and Co. can have their kids in schools that are secured by armed security, but when we, the lowly, common rabble, demand the same fo ourr beloved little ones, we are told that guns are "evil" and that armed security is not the answer. Instead, law-abiding gun-owners are told that we must give up another portion of our ever-dwinding rights, that "gun-control" is the only answer, and that a strengthened assault weapons ban is the answer even though identical law on the books in Connecticut did absolutely nothing to stop the actions of a monster.
.
I wonder when, or rather if, the American people will ever say, "Enough!"
.
Given the outcome of the elections this last November, I fear that we already have our answer.

I am a TEXAS school teacher... and, in my view, security guards are NOT the best solution. I'm hopeful that more Texas ISD's will create guidelines and training which will allow their TEXAS CHL teachers to carry while on duty. Teachers are charged with the safety and well being of school children eight hours a day, six months a year. Teachers carrying concealed does at least two things: 1) puts multiple guns on each campus; and, 2) deters the would be aggressor as a result of the possibility of multiple teachers and administrators being armed!

The math is simple: one or two security guards that are visible and easily targeted is less a deterrent than the chance of multiple teachers and administrators being armed with concealed weapons. The would be aggressor would not know which teachers and/or administrators were armed. I just feel that is a better solution. Plus, I don't like the idea of trusting the minimum wage security guard most ISD's will hire for the job to be capable of defending my life better than I will defend myself!

I agree with you because they probably will be on a donut break anyway (LOL) but one other thing that they have to look at that not every teacher want to do this. If you can get maybe at least 5+ teachers that will be willing to do it well I think that will work. The peoples that involve in this will go around and around with this before they finally do what they first come up with 5 months ago.
