Kroger employees/customer attacked by "fan mob" as MD ad campaign begins….

"Hold on, they got a white dude…." Attack on Memphis, TN, Kroger

Its a good thing Kroger decided not to prohibit carry. Now to get more people to exercise that right…. Warning - strong language. Listen to the girl laugh as she gets the video and says, "Hold on, they got a white dude…" then runs over to see them begin kicking him into unconsciousness, followed by throwing pumpkins at his head:


She finally begins to show some concern when the young man doesn't get up, and begins to call for help, even makes a token effort to get others from attacking yet another employee who is thrown to the ground; until that moment, however, she was laughing at was happening in front of her.

HEY MOMS DEMAND -- HOW'S THAT WHOLE DISARMAMENT THING REALLY WORKING?! SEE WHAT CAN HAPPEN WHEN PEOPLE HAVE TO WAIT FOR THE POLICE TO SHOW UP LIKE YOU WANT THEM TO?!!! Who do you think REALLY posed a bigger risk to Kroger customers: respectful, lawfully carrying citizens, or thugs out to beat unarmed white folks? About the time someone had hauled off and begun laying down fire on these thugs, they would have scattered like cockroaches.

A 15-year-old is charged with aggravated riot, and acting in concert: to wit aggravated assault.

According to Mayor Wharton, the teen was out on gun related charges at the time of the attack.

Wharton said the teen was not enrolled in school and his mother was previously charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Note that Memphis does not by any means represent the rest of Tennessee.
 
You Caucasians will never understand the plight of the minorities. I for one am second generation Hungarian here in the US. Don't remember my people beating down anyone. But the snake oil salesmen will continue to sell their wares as the media will continue to report according to the needs of the community not the facts.
Can someone say Propaganda?
 
You caucasians? Wow. I notice you refer to yourself as Hungarian, albeit second generation. You are welcome to return to your 'homeland'. They have a flight or 2 daily. Until you start to think of yourself as an American, then you will continue to be part of some of the problems. In case you aren't tracking, us caucasians are the minority any more.

So let me understand - first, is your statement about caucs not being able to understand the plight of minorities sarcasm, and second, are you saying that this video is somehow a propaganda flick?

Because, if so, I would remind you that the blacks are not the only ethnic group to ever experience slavery or racism. Many of the chinese in this country were brought here initially as slave or indentured labor to work building the railroads, provide menial labor in mining camps, or working the Alaskan fish canneries. Thousands were killed by the railroads - either worked to death, or herded into caves and then buried alive when their usefulness was over. You don't hear the chinese community in the US crying for reparations or government handouts, they quietly built their communities and businesses despite what happened to them.

Whites were held as slaves in Africa, Asia, Europe, and - yes - even here in the US. Whites are STILL the target of slavers across the muslim and asian world, long after black slavery was discontinued. Again, there have never been demands for reparations or other favorable treatment, they went to work and rebuilt their lives and communities.

As I have posted before, blacks are the one group that experienced slavery from which we hear frequently regarding reparations, demanding favorable treatment in education, employment, and housing, and generally still blaming their "captors" a hundred plus years later for their crime, poverty, drug use, and rate of illegitimate birth - even after whites shed their blood to free them, both during the civil war AND the civil rights movement, and even though many blacks wound up as slaves at the hands of other blacks in the first place ("There's another thorny issue. During slavery, some free blacks purchased other blacks as a means to free family members. But other blacks owned slaves for the same reason whites owned slaves — to work farms or plantations. Are descendants of these slaveholding blacks eligible for and deserving of reparations? When African slavery began, there was no way Europeans could have enslaved millions of Africans. So I would be interested to get a little clarification on what you are trying to say.
 
Toney Armstrong wants to go after the parents. I've been a fan of this for years but couldn't get past the liberals. When you catch a fifteen-year-old out at 3:00AM at a known drug house you arrest the parent for contributing to the delinquency of a minor or child endangerment. Give the paren't community service working at the curfew center.

This wasn't a "sheepdog" incident. It was a robbery attempt culminating in a gunfight where the victim won. The video at the link says that the shooter stated he was being robbed.

The copy in the article is unclear and the title makes it sound like an unrelated citizen stepping in to thwart a robbery, but the news report makes it clear that it was just run-of-the-mill self-defense, or at least that is the claim of the shooter. He was taken off in cuffs according to the video report, so there may be more to the story than meets the eye, but it sounds nothing like a "sheepdog" incident from the news report.

Since I live in Indianapolis, I've been trying to find more on this. Very little being reported so far, other than the stuff that came out on the day of the encounter.
 
I believe that private companies should be able to decide what's right for themselves... that said, if they deny a person the right to defend himself, they must assume responsibility for defending their staff and customers.

Unfortunately the Supreme Court ruled that even the police are under no obligation to protect you.

It seems like that is a great argument for nationwide shall issue of CCW.

Considering the level of service of the LAPD, it would be nice if we could "opt out". ;) Actually I am doing that... at least with regard to moving away from the greater LA area. We'll see how things go in Riverside in the next month or two.
