My 3 grit Arkansas stone triangle/cedar stand works great for me.
There's something about dragging a blade across lubricated stones properly that is satisfying.
Call me old-fashioned, but hearing and feeling the manual process soothes my soul. Weird.
That sharpener in the OP is outside my bang-for-buck limit. I can't afford it.
I feel like a parrot; I'd never sharpen my knives with a powered sharpener. YMMV
