Keltec Sub-2000

Does anyone have any input of this gun. I like the idea of a folding carbine that uses the same ammo and mag as my Glock. I plan on looking for one at the next show in a few weeks, Thanks.

Kinda neat. I agree it would be cool having a rifle that too my Beretta and Glock mags.

Introduction
The SUB-2000 is a self-loading carbine for pistol cartridges. Different versions of the SUB-2000 will accept most modern handgun magazines; see below for a complete list. The SUB-2000 has a greatly enhanced accuracy and extended range compared to a handgun. The superior precision is also very useful against small or partially covered targets at shorter range. The amount of training to master the SUB-2000 is only a fraction of that required for a handgun.

The SUB RIFLE-2000 has been developed from our highly successful SUB-9 rifle. Although retaining some features of the old rifle, the SUB-2000 is a completely new design. Emphasis has been put on consumer safety, but without impeding the performance. Polymers are used to a large extent, resulting in increased durability and reduced price. The SUB-2000 is available in 9 mm Luger or .40 S&W calibers.

The bolt can be locked in the rear position by the operating handle. The main safety is of protected push bolt type disconnecting the trigger bar and interlocking the hammer and sear. By rotating the barrel upwards and back, the SUB-2000 can be reduced to a size of 16" x 7" to facilitate secure storage and utilize the internal deployment lock which is operated by a proprietary key. The rear sight is of aperture type and the fluorescent front sight can be adjusted for windage and elevation. The SUB-2000 can easily be disassembled for cleaning or inspection without tools.

I have one in 9mm that uses Beretta magazines. They are a lot of fun to shoot. Accuracy isn't that bad either. You can dress them up... check out some of these. Link Removed

Sorry, it isn't legal in CA. It has a detachable magazine and a pistol grip. This make it illegal there.
Actually, I just researched this because my bro-in-law, who still lives down there, fell in love with my Glock compatible Sub2Ks.

What I found is that a bullet button with the 10 rd mag and a KT accessory stock extension (the Sub2K is 1/2" short of the Cal minimum) will apparently make it legal...though there is some disagreement as to whether the bullet button has to be permanently attached. (IANAL...YMMV)

I have 2 9MM Subbies and love them...they are more pure fun than any gun I have (or even the ones I had before the tragic boating accident). One of them, with 3 33 rd mags, lives in a bookbag in my truck most of the time.

At just over $300 per shipped from CDNN, they are a steal.

I have one chambered in .40 that uses the same mags as my Glock. I purchased a 30 round after market mag because the 15 round mags just didn't cut it. Mine is so accurate it is scary. Put a quad rail on it with an eotech sight and a front angled grip. I LOVE IT. Will post a pic soon.

I love mine! I added the forward Picatinny rail for a forward handgrip or light, the stock extention and the dust cover for when its folded. Mine uses the 9mm Glock 17 mags. I also love using the 33 round mags. Great for plinking and really accurate. This is probably my favorite carbine out of the ones I already have. I am thinking of getting an second one in .40 S&W.

You will love the .40. I bought mine because I have two Glocks plus I reload .40's and wanted a carbine that could share the same ammo and mags.

After seeing one of these in a local shop (Upstate New York) I was hooked - waiting for mine to arrive at my FFL from Buds in KY. Why didn't I just buy it local? $450 was too steep - Buds is selling the Sub2k in 9mm with S&W 59 mag (New) for $292. That is, when it's in stock - they sell fast at that price :)

Don't have that one but do have the SU16B rifle and it's been a good dependable rifle, very light weight and easy to handle.
